Itinerary
| 1st day | Arrival in Lucerne by train from the Swiss border or the airport. Overnight in Lucerne. |
| 2nd day | Today you board the train to Arth-Goldau. From the station of Mt. Rigi-Railways you go further on with the cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm (1.800 m/6.000ft). Because of its unique location and its beautiful landscape, Mt. Rigi enjoys an international reputation as an unforgettable excursion and holiday paradise in the heart of Switzerland. From the summit you can have a breath-taking 360 degrees panoramic view of the Alps, looking out over 13 lakes and across all central Switzerland as far as Germany and France. Descend from Mt. Rigi by cogwheel train to Rigi Kaltbad and further by aerial cable-car to Weggis (or continue by cogwheel train to Vitznau) from where you board the boat and enjoy a cruise back to Lucerne (pls note that the aerial cable-car Rigi Kaltbad - Weggis is not operating 6.-23.4., 2.-5.11., 8.-12.11.10). Overnight in Lucerne. |
| 3rd day | After breakfast you board the train to travel to the mediterranean part of Switzerland.- the Ticino. Overnight in Lugano. |
| 4th day | Day at leisure. Several attractive excursion opportunities are waiting for you. As f.ex. the Swissminiatur in Melide. As an added value you receive a voucher for 20% reduction for the entry and your Swiss Card entitles you to a discount of 50% for the trail travel to/from Melide. Overnight in Lugano. |
| 5th day | Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request. |
